twerkintheshadows asked: I can't decide if you're snarky and sarcastically upholding the city Or if you're really THAT happy about this place~

Frederick is the mothership that bore my existence. Without it, I could not say I am the person I am today. 26, and 194 - shaped me. The rivalry between Walkersville and Middletown still boils in my blood anytime I see a combination of orange and black (which is an inconvenience for me because A. Halloween is a lifestlye, and B. black, the color of all of my clothes/soul.) Whenever I re-watch the entirety of Degrassi I am sad because I did not get to wear a photo ID tag around me neck like they did, as well as our peers over at Governor Thomas Johnson. I always felt like more of a city kid, but those vast empty fields bring me home every time. I remember when the Wal Mart off 85 was not super. I know how to avoid Oppsumtown Pike so I can get to class on time at FCC. I remember Frederick before Wegmans.

I am Frederick, twerkintheshawdows. Who are you?

When Baltimore comes to Frederick

When Baltimore comes to Frederick

Imagine my surprise , when my partner and I excitedly switched on to my DVR recording of TLC’s Virgin Diaries, to see one of its starring roles portrayed by a Frederick native.
In the show, Carey, 35 and still a virgin, ventures to wondrous spots such Bentz St. Sports Bar [one of those bars that adds you on Facebook and then forces invites and messages down your throat until you can figure out how to delete them], and ~Danielles~ [R.I.P] where my littler sister went for her Senior Homecoming. Ah, nostalgia.
The show also featured a walking tour of Whittier, Frederick’s very own Stepford Wive community, and a 5second shot of the Library on Market. St. Beautiful, stunning, mesmerizing!
I can feel Frederick faming boilin in me blood.

Oh hell yeah - Frederick’s hitting the big time, creeping’ on my Baltimore Living Social.

*this deal entitles you to two free drinks and two free shots at Pastimes Cafe. … Lol…

I haven’t been to Frederick in over two months! I feel my spirit fading. I need some Frederick submissions to get my mind and mental health back on track.

Ready, set, go!

I know, I often times find my love for Frederick, MD. overwhelming as well.

You guys, Frederick got a Wegmans off route 26. This is a big deal because Frederick needed another high quality grocery store. Actually it just needed another buffet-type establishment. Life is good in Frederick, people.

Frederick or Bust.

I am in the process of completing a three-phase plan for my life:

1. Move to Frederick, Maryland (Done - as of May 28).

2. Initiate a mass exodus of friends from their respective cities to Frederick, Maryland over the next several years. Progress report: This is going well. Within 2 months of my move, at least three friends will join me in Frederick. Within 6 months there will be a fourth. Within 12 months a fifth. These are confirmed moves - the sky is the limit.

3. Die of old age in Frederick, Maryland (many many decades from now).

Wish me luck.
